Keeping Traditional Handwork Alive
for a New Generation

ReshamBagh is built around a simple belief: traditional Indian hand embroidery should not disappear simply because machines can produce patterns faster. We continue to work with heritage handwork styles, preserving their character while creating designs that feel relevant to today's women.

The Karkhana

Where every piece begins: at the adda frame, stitch by counted stitch, in the hands of a karigar who has practised for decades.

Our story

Three things worth knowing

Rooted in Indian Craftsmanship

Hand embroidery has always been part of India's finest garments, from bridal wear and festive clothing to special pieces created for important occasions. ReshamBagh carries that tradition forward through Arri, Zardozi, Mukaish/Kamdani, Parsi Gara, Shadow Work, Chikankari, Gota Patti and Mirror Work, supported by a wide range of traditional materials and embellishments.

India's embroidery traditions span centuries of royal patronage and living craft.

Why Handwork Still Matters

Modern machines can reproduce patterns quickly and consistently. Traditional hand embroidery offers something different: an artisan can adapt the design while working, change placement, build depth, combine materials, control the detailing and respond to the fabric itself. This makes handwork especially valuable for bespoke garments where the embroidery needs to follow the garment rather than simply repeat a programmed pattern.

A machine can repeat a design. A skilled artisan can interpret a design, refine it and bring it to life.

Your Design Can Become Handcrafted Reality

One of the things that makes ReshamBagh different is the freedom to create around your idea. You can bring your own design, sketch, reference image or inspiration. Our team can develop the embroidery around your garment and work with the handwork style and materials that best suit your vision. This is what custom hand embroidery means to us: not choosing something off the shelf, but creating something that belongs to you.

Every custom project begins with a conversation about your vision.

Made Slowly. Made With Care

Fine handwork takes time because every detail is handled with care. From the first design placement to the final finishing, the work is created with attention to balance, density, material placement, surface texture and character. The time taken to make something properly is part of its value.

Patience and precision define every piece that leaves our studio.

Four living traditions

Each technique has its own grammar of thread, needle, and frame, and its own family of karigars who have spent decades mastering it.
