From Your Idea to Handcrafted Embroidery

Our Process

Every garment we make carries the memory of its making, a design conceived in a sketchbook, fabric chosen in person, embroidery worked stitch by stitch by a karigar who has practised for decades. There are five stages. None of them can be hurried.

Understanding Your Design

Every project begins with listening — understanding the garment, the occasion and your vision.

Developing the Details

Placement and density decisions are made before a single thread is applied.

Choosing the Right Materials

The right material combination can change the texture, shine, weight and overall character of the finished handwork.

The Handwork Begins

Each technique requires years of dedicated practice — our artisans bring that mastery to every piece.

Finishing & Detailing

The final piece carries the time, skill and hands that created it.
"A single bridal lehenga may carry four months of embroidery, worked in near-silence by a karigar who has practised for decades."
Six living traditions

Craft we preserve

Each technique practised in the karkhana has been passed through families of artisans. We use all of them, often on a single garment.

What we work with

The cloth & thread

We source only natural fibres, silk, cotton, and georgette, for their hand and light-response. Every thread of metal used in the embroidery is pure zari, not synthetic.

Custom Order

Begin with a conversation

Every custom order starts the same way, with a meeting and a cup of tea. We want to know the occasion, the cloth you love, the details that matter to you. The garment follows from there.
